"My attraction to the medical sciences began in high school and continued throughout college. As a young man, I worked at the local hospital monitoring computers for a cardiovascular lab. While working at the hospital, I became fascinated by medicine and the ability to help people regain their health. I knew I wanted a career in medicine.
"I chose dentistry because it enabled me to help people achieve their health and aesthetic goals. Dentistry could help me relieve people’s pain and suffering. Thanks to dentistry, I have been able to provide for others, raise a family and enjoy the benefits of hard work."
Life Beyond Dentistry
"When I'm not at the office, I take pleasure in piloting private planes, participating in church activities, and spending time with my wife, Ann, our six children and growing family of grandchildren. Fun outdoor activities for me include skiing, 4-wheeling, gardening and boating.
"My greatest opportunity, after practicing advanced dentistry, was spending 20 years as a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. This honor enabled me to travel to Europe twice, record over 20 albums with the choir, and sing at three presidential inaugurations."
